不完全コレスキー分解のfill-inの棄却法には様々なものがある．
メモリや計算量を考えると，fill-inの棄却を多くし，前処理行列の非ゼロ要素数は少ない方が良いが，元の行列と大きく異なると，前処理行列として機能しなくなる．よって，前処理行列として機能しつつ，非ゼロ要素数が少ないものを求めることが必要である．本稿では，修正不完全コレスキー分解による前処理行列と同程度の収束性を持ちながら，非ゼロ要素数が少ない前処理行列を作るマルチパラメータ修正不完全コレスキー分解を提案し，数値実験により有効性を示す．

近年，Block Gram-Schmidt法に関連する様々な研究が行われており，Stewartや松尾らは，行列を列ごとに分割するblock化を用いることにより，1回のかけ算の演算にかかる時間が短くなることを示した．さらに，block-sizeによりQR分解にかかる計算時間は異なるが，Stewartはmを経験的に決定する算法を提案した．最適なblock-sizeを見つけるためには，複数回プログラムを実行し決める必要があるが，これは非効率である．これを改善するために，Matsuo らは，演算量の増加量を予測して，block-sizeを自動的に決定する手法を提案した．またSilvaは，block Gram-Schmidt法に関して，修正Gram-Schmidt法とHouseholder変換との演算量の比較を行っている．
Vanderstraeten は，block Gram-Schmidt法の並列化を考案し，その算法の有効性を示した．

GMRES(m)法の前処理として利用するDeflation技法において，近似逆行列を用いると，固有値分布は単位行列の固有値である1に近づく．本稿は，前処理を行った行列の固有値分布が1の周りに集まることに着目し，係数行列の近似固有値である調和Ritz値の選択を，小さいものからではなく固有値のクラスタから離れたものを選択する手法を提案する．そして，数値実験によりその手法がGMRES(m)法の収束改善に有効であることを示す．

We have proposed an adaptive procedure for determining the optimal block-size for the Block Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization, which is a process for computing the QR factorization of matrix X. Accurate block-size is different for each numerous problem. In this paper, we have explored two new schemes for searching and finding accurate
block-size under one execution of the QR factorization.
Some numerical experiments will be used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

We will discuss regularization methods for stability of solutions of linear discrete ill-posed problems. A solution becomes unstable if a model equation is incomplete because of unknown rule dominating a phenomenon, available data includes measurement error, or both of them.
Truncation error from discretisation also makes the solution unstable. For each factors, there are some remedies such as a modification of the model, statistical methods for distribution of measurement error. In this paper, we will focus on the GMRES method, one of the most popular
Krylov subspace methods, as the regularization method for linear discrete ill-posed problems and discuss to make them well-posed by using constraints with values appearing in GMRES iterations.

One of the approximate inverse techniques is obtained on minimizing $|I-AM|$ in some suitable norm, i.e. Frobenius norm.In this paper, we now study a new structure for computing the sparse approximate inverse preconditioner, which based on the Sherman-Morrison formula.

大規模な固有値問題の解法としてLanczos法が使われることが多いが，反復が進むに従い，ベクトルの直交性が崩れ，固有値と固有ベクトルの精度を悪化する．それを改善するために再直交化を行い，準直交性を満たすような算法を提案し，数値実験によりその有効性を確認した．

適切なk の値を決定し，直交ベクトル空間を新たに計算し直す算法について提案する．最後にMIMD型並列計算機を使用した2つの数値例の結果について述べる．数値実験の結果から本稿で提案した算法の有効性を示す．

We propose the new variant of GMRES($le m_{max}$) method.
Our algorithm uses a new parameter for the convergence test of the residualnorm. The restart is also performed by this parameter. From the numerical results for the MIMD parallel computer, COMPAQ Beowulf, we show the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm.

It is important to solve several linear systems of equations
in lattice gauge computations in quantum chromodynamics or boundary value problems oftime-dependent partial differential equations. We propose the new procedure for solving the shifted linear systems with an effective preconditioning. We call this new procedure using the parallel GMRES method, Concurrent-GMRES method. Numerical experiments are given for the efficiency of the porposed algorithm.

The solution of large-scale nonsymmetric linear systems of equations: Ax=b, continue to be difficult problems, where A is nonsingular coefficient matrix. These linear equations are often solved by iterative methods due to their moderate computational and storage demands. A main algorithm for solving Ax=b is GMRES method. Recently, GMRES(m) method with some automatic restarting techniques are proposed by several researchers. In this talk, we compare some adaptive techniques for determining automatically when to restart. Several numerical experiments for large-scale problems are presented on the parallel computer Origin 2000.

GMRES(m) method is one of the major iterative methods for numerically solving large and sparse nonsymmetric problems of the form Ax=b. However, the information of some eigenvectors that compose the approximation disappears and then the good approximate solution cannot be obtained, because of this restart. Recently, in order to improve such a weak point, some algorithms which named MORGAN, DEFLATION and DEFLATED-GMRES algorithm, have been proposed. Those algorithms add the information of eigenvectors that can be obtained in the previous restart frequency. In this paper, we study those algorithms and also compare their performances. We will also propose the new restarting procedure that accelerates the convergence of their
algorithms.
