ＭＮＴ分子の吸着ラマン、赤外スペクトル波数が、バルク、銅錯体、銅表面吸着種の間でどのように変化しているかについて、分子軌道計算も含めて解析した。バルク及び銅錯体についてはＸ線結晶構造解析も行い分子の幾何構造の変かと電子移動の程度がよく対応していることを明かにした。

金属錯体の光学活性に寄与する，立体配置，構造上の要因を調べるために，シクロペンタンジアミンを配位子としたトリスコバルト錯体を合成し，X線結晶構造解析を行った。配位窒素原子の正八面体頂点からの歪みが円偏光二色性スペクトルの特異性と関連があることを示した。
