半導体レーザとICGを併用した新しいレーザ椎間板減圧術（椎間板ヘルニア治療）を開発した。手技は、椎間板造影と一緒に行え、椎間板造影で蒸散をリアルタイムモニタリングしながら適用できる。Ho:YAGレーザのような音波による周囲損傷がなく低侵襲である。
